12/27/06 Final update
Family and Friends,
We went to the infectious disease doctor today and he was happy with the healing of the wound. He took some blood to test, and he ended the IV antibiotics. John is now on oral anitbiotics for 10 days, and that should be it. John will see the surgeon next week, but that will just be an inspection of the wound, and probably to check on range of motion, which is limited right now. WOO-HOO, no more early morning or late night IV sessions. Co can finally get a good long night sleep! It has been a lot of work for her, and she has done it all well. It couldn't have happened without her!

I have been thinking about you so much lately, not knowing that you were in such difficulty. Thank God you are finally okay - can't bear to have anything happen to a pla from first grade!
