4/15/16 1pm

Once he came back from Radiation, Occupational Therapy was here with a little hand therapy and to take him for a walk.  He was very strong and steady with the walker.  Three new, for us, Cardiologists who specialize in post transplant care came in to meet us.  One of the doctors was the one who called us on Sunday night with the offer.  They have placed the order to have John transferred this afternoon out of ICU.  Speech Therapy was next and he has been cleared for general diet, he can swallow just fine.  Then the dietician came in and brought us a new menu and stayed for awhile.  Now the Central Line has been removed as well as the catheter.  He still is pain free except when they are pulling lines and tubes.  He still has no appetite but has enjoyed a few sips of Coke.  We are hoping that the vomiting has stopped as John has proven there is another way out.  He's exhausted and sleeping now.

Congratulations on being paroled from ICU. So, so impressed with John's progress and determination to improve. Thanks Colleen for the clear and concise blog writings - they make you feel as if we're there with you two. If you need any help whatsoever with anything, please do not hesitate to holler. Keeping you both in my prayers. Please tell John hello.
