Sunday morning
John here. Things
seems to be going well. The doctors seem
happy. No alarms from the machine which
is good. Tests all seem to be making the
doctors happy. X-rays, ultrasounds and
so on. Weight is going down daily,
finally. They are used to Heart Failure
patients that eat too much sodium and started treating us as one of those. Finally they see that we came in in pretty
good shape. Easier now to get in and out
of bed. Was tough at first. Pretty boring days now without doctors all
the time. That's it for now. Updates will be fewer as not much happens or
changes anymore.
John
John is off oxygen now.
We were told this morning that it is hard to get a true oxygen
saturation percentage from a patient with an LVAD since there is little or no
pulse. So he probably didn't need the
oxygen last night, but it didn't hurt.
He was up a lot last night since the diuretics were given so late. We'll be doing another shower today with
drive line care. Dr Mokadam was pleased
with the 14 laps from yesterday and suggested 18 today which is one mile. We'll see.
I think we will be walking a lot today.
We are hoping he can get a couple of good naps in also.
Colleen
