In Ft Lauderdale

We are in Ft. Lauderdale having had a really nice nonstop flight from Seattle.  We flew on a new Boeing 737 that had 120v outlets for each seat so that we could play with computers.  That in itself made it a nice trip.  Plus, we had a really nice crew. 

We are staying at a Best Western, which we do often.  We don't know how this one got even a one star rating, not even the three star that we signed up for.  We stayed last night at a Best Western in Sea Tac, it was lovely, 2.5 stars. This one is rated at 3 stars and we would give it 1 star since that is the lowest number on the scale.    It is a motel, right out of the 50's.   It is a square surrounding a swimming pool with a tiki bar and piped music.   Picture it and then add a musty odor and off colored water from the taps.  Yup, that is the picture.

It's ok, just two nights then we know what we will be getting as we were on the Ruby Princess twice last year.  This is exactly one of the reasons we like to cruise, we know what we will be getting.

Now we will spend Friday here and board the ship on Saturday.  There will be two full days at sea before we get to our first island stop, Antigua.  We will try to post blog entries after each port, but success is often spotty with the ship internet connection.
