Today is Friday and we are slowing approaching Ketchikan.  Yesterday we were late arriving in Juneau, but the weather was really nice, mostly clear and not really cold.  We went ashore with our favorite crew member, Tanja from Serbia.  We met her on our last cruise and she adopted us and we adopted her.  Crew members, especially dining room staff, do not get much time off to explore.  Tanja works breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.  Yesterday she was give tea time off to get off of the ship. 

The town has not changed much since we were last here in 2008.  Try as we might, we could not see Russia.  The main street has a ‘bar side’ for the taverns and the other side has none.  Both sides have shops though.  They must hide the drug and food stores somewhere else, we couldn’t find either! 

As usual, we are playing trivia and Co plays a slot machine.  She has found one she likes and does well with.  She has won every time in the casino and the pennies are adding up.  We have a great pair of Canadian trivia partners with lots of knowledge, so are doing well there, one win and a few second places. 

Princess has a “Captain’s Circle” club whose only requirement is to have cruised once before with Princess.  The Captain hosts a cocktail party and announces the three passengers with the most cruises and gives them each a bottle of champaign.   This particular captain was the most outgoing and friendly that we have met.  Very personable.
