Port Townsend

Wednesday we were in Port Townsend, a town we have been to many times.  But not as total tourists.  We walked the town in the morning and found our Christmas ornament.  The ornament is a nice metal sculpture of a whale with a calf.  The picture has poor lighting, but you get the idea.

This is autumn and leaves are falling.  Sidewalks are full of them and they are crunchy.  We were passed by a pedestrian who crossed over from side to side to crunch the leaves.  Reminded us of a little kid jumping in rain puddles.

In the afternoon we took a bus tour, a historical tour.  We went to places that we had not been to before and had a good guide.  Mary gave us so many small details.  For instance, this year, the orca whales are wearing dead salmon on their heads.  Scientists are confused.  It last happened in 1987.  John questioned it but Doctor Google confirmed it.  Check it out if you doubt!

We went to Fort Worden State Park, another lighthouse and a belltower.  Places and things we had not seen, and liked seeing.
