Sunday, November 10th
Today is
Sunday, we will be home tomorrow, late. Last night was formal night and tonight
is ‘fall back’ night. We will finally be
able to have all of our time pieces in synch.
Today is packing day, always a bit sad.
At the same time, we are ready to be home.
Friday, we
visited our final port of this cruise, Mazatlán. We have been here several times on past
cruises. It is considered the most
dangerous of the Mexican Riveria ports, with drug cartel activities. We went ashore, but stayed in the immediate
port shopping area.
The other
ports have had police presence in view, as well as coast guard gun ships
nearby. There have been full camo
dressed soldiers with automatic weapons at each port. The shopping area at the pier, actually a
working freight pier, had very few police or soldiers.
We were not
looking for anything but saw a great t shirt that a friend back home would like. Texted him with a photo and a price when we were
back on board and he did want it. So
back out we went for it.
