RV road trip 9.12.2018

Today we went to Old Faithful.  Had the usual traffic slow down just entering the park due to people stopping on the road.  There are many signs saying not to park on the road to watch animals.  And they are ignored.   Once past that trouble spot, the drive was pretty calm.  We got to Old Faithful, parked the RV and walked toward the geyser.  About a minute after we arrived, she blew.  What great timing.  Beautiful!  We got a photo and a video.

John fished in the Fire Hole River and caught some small trout.  The Gibbon river was not so kind, but there are many more to try.

We think we may have solved the shower issue.  We have not had much in the way of heated water.  This rig has one of those “insta-hot” on-demand water heaters.  We were told originally to install a water pressure reducer in the hose.  It didn’t work that way, so in a phone call, we were told to try straight water pressure.  VIOLA!  Well, viola!  We have warm water but it is a great improvement.

Tomorrow we will do the north east corner of the park.  Supposedly the best place to have a chance to see wolves.  It will be our longest day in the park so far.
