RV road trip 9.09.2018
What an awesome day!
We left Fruitland and got to Heyburn at 12:30. At 2:00 John’s donor family came to the RV Park. What amazing people. Lots of hugs and tears and raw emotion. Before any words were even spoken. Unbelievable welcoming people. Melanie the mom. Kristine the sister. Jarrod her husband and Shalae her daughter. Melanie’s best friend Lynette acted as
photographer and was rapidly taking photos with four phone cameras. Melanie, Kristine, Jarrod, John and Colleen
all wore matching shirts that said “His heart beats on..” above an EKG
pattern. There are great group photos on
all the cameras. We had barbecue (great food supplied by Kristine) and then walked over to the cemetery where Doonus rests. Emotional again. We are so glad we made the trip and met our
new family. It was a day we won’t
forget.
Yellowstone tomorrow, visiting the Craters of the Moon park
on the way.

Just beautiful! Blessings to all.
It sounds wonderful . . .so glad for all that you connected. Continue to have special memories and times!
Loved your comment about Colleen doing all the highway driving for 16 years. Hope she's still "not driving." :-)
