5/12/16 update
YES!! The fourth
biopsy came back the same as the first three.
0 NSR. Zero No Significant
Rejection. Now we have biopsies only
every two weeks. We do have two
scheduled visits to the UWMC next week.
One with Dr. Smith, the surgeon and one with Heidi, the Physician's
Assistant. We like them both.
The other benefit of the biopsy is that the prednisone dose
has been officially lowered. Maybe it
will help me to sleep better. Sleep has
been intermittent and restless. There is
also some crankiness and increased appetite.
We had our monthly heart transplant support group meeting
today. We had a representative from Life
Center Northwest come talk to us, the subject was communication between the
organ recipient and the donor family. It
was very interesting. It is up to the
donor family whether there will be a meeting.
It is recommended that we wait about a year before we send the first
letter.
We found a band aid on John's back tonight, probably from
the pigtail removal last week, so that came off. Also removed some adhesive from his
back. We must have been focusing on the
front, so didn't notice it. Co still
packs the driveline hole nightly. It is
getting smaller every day.
Co mowed the lawn this week and we planted nine vines
today. John is not supposed to get into
the dirt now, so puts on a really tight special mask and gloves when he does
work outside. So he was able to
fertilize the lawn.
