3/14/24 evening update

Today was interesting.  Co passed every test from O/T and P/T and the nurse.  She walked several laps around the floor.  But, pain came and went all day long.  It appeared that we might get home today.  The x-ray came back looking good.  

Side note:  those screws are looong!  Pointy.  And they added two extra screws and attached the rods at an extra vertebra.  

Toward the end of the afternoon, Colleen felt that she needed another night of hospital care and we relayed that to the nurse.  When the surgeon's PA called the nurse, the nurse pitched Co's feeling to him and the decision was made to stay overnight.

The hospital likes checkout by 11:30 so we may be home early.  We found out last time that it is a process to check out.  Final set of vitals.  A trip down to the pharmacy to stand in line for take home meds.

Anyway, fingers crossed to tomorrow.
