03.07.2020 Dinnertime update

Hello again,

We have had thrills today.  Before noon, we spotted a freighter on the horizon.  Then, in midafternoon, we saw land.  By 5PM or so, we could see the Golden gate bridge.  So, we thought that we were heading back to San Francisco.  But no, we turned to port and lost sight.

Around the same time, we thought we spotted flying fish.  Nope, it was birds that skimmed the water causing a wake.  There are also the floats for crab pots bobbing along.

All this time we were chilling, really chilling, on the balcony talking to neighbors on other balconies.  Everyone has a good attitude.  One couple is from San Francisco and the other from England.  Everyone wants to go home of course and dislikes this limbo thing.

We had ordered Cokes, N/A beer and wine from room service this afternoon.  We got Coke.  We got wine.  We got ROOT BEER!  Technically, it is non-alcoholic.   But really?

Shortly after 5:30, we heard the side thrusters start to work and the ship came to a halt.  We were pushed to the right and again could see the Golden Gate bridge.  And… toward us came a green tugboat.  The Miss Tammy.  The captain came on and told us that the boat brought water and safety supplies.  Masks?   He told us that he still did not have permission to let people out on the decks for air and exercise.  We still do our laps.  Anyway, he promised another announcement at 9PM, sooner if he learns anything new.

The sunset was spectacular!
