Friday Morning

John had a really good night last night, both pain and sleep wise, and it shows.  I got here about 6:30 and he was wide awake.  The nurses removed his dressing from his chest incision and it looks real good.  They routinely give a bit of oxygen through the night, but it is off again now.  He shaved himself for the first time and brushed his teeth.  His feeding tube came out again this morning.  He passed more swallowing tests, so can eat more, and take pills.  So we hope that the feeding tube doesn't need to go back in.  It has been a very busy morning, but just wanted to update you quickly.
