Kusadasi, Turkey
Friday, November 1st, 2013
On our second visit to Kusadasi today, we took a local cab
ride out to Meryemana, the reputed house that Mary spent her last 11 years on
earth living in. Lots of views, disputes,
about the facts, but three Popes have visited it. The crowds were much larger than we remember
from our prior visit.
We went into the bazaar for a short visit to find a
scarf. There is a young woman, Bojana,
from Serbia that had her 24th birthday on the ship, her first away from
home. This is her first contract, her
first cruise, and she started in Barcelona with us. We gave her a card and the scarf so that she
would not feel alone on her day.
