At sea today. A
welcome break from the pace of this trip.
Not only have there been a large number of ports, we have had full days
ashore most places. Still, 'at sea' days
have lots of activities. We had a
lecture this morning titled "Technical@Sea". It was presented by one of the Senior
Engineers and was very interesting. We
usually attend trivia, twice a day when not ashore. Co went on a tour of the Backstage area of
the Theater. There also was a tour of
the galley, which is always interesting.
Later this afternoon will be the art auction which will include an
auction of the Navigational Cart of this cruise. Wine tasting is also this afternoon, so sea
days, you can do as much or as little as you want. This evening we have another cocktail party
with the Captains Circle loyalty group.
Yesterday, we were in Athens and deliberately did not go to
any of the famous sights. We accidently
found Hadrian's Gate and walked below the Acropolis. Our intention was solely to wander through
the Plaka, the shopping center in the old town.
We will be back next week and plan to take the "hop-on,
hop-off" open top bus around the city.
We can hop on and off as we want, so will be able to visit what suits
our fancy.
There will be a video following of 'adult fun' on a cruise
ship.
