Mykonos, Greece

We have had problems with the satellite from the ship and
the Internet. That is the reason that photos have been posted alone. We hope to have the problem solved
today. Hopefully, there will be a photo
with this posting.
We have had winds and high seas since leaving Naples. John is wearing his acupressure wrist bands
and they are working. No seasickness.
Today we were on the Greek Island of Mykonos, reputed to be
a jet setter destination discovered by Jackie Onassis. The building walls are all bright white. We have heard that it a law that they are
white and must be painted every two years.
Most of the shutters are blue, with a smattering of red or green here
and there. When the sun shines, it is
very bright.
This morning when we were in town, it rained.
We walked in the rain and visited
the old windmills that this place is famous for. For the first time since May, it rained. 360 days of sun per year is the story. We have been drenched in the Cinque Terre, in
Naples and now on Mykonos. We will be
back in about a week and a half. Maybe it will be better weather then.
Tomorrow is a day that we have been looking forward to
because we will be in Istanbul, Turkey. Our
plan is to take the tram to the big square and then tour the ancient cistern
that supplied water over a thousand years ago.
Then we will walk to the Grand Bazaar for window shopping. It will be a fun day.
Colleen and John
