Mykonos, Greece
Thursday, October 31st, 2013
Halloween and we are on Mykonos again, the island where it
rained sideways last time. Today was
hazy in the morning and bright later on.
We walked the two miles into town, but took a water shuttle back to the ship. By the time we left in early afternoon, the
wind was howling. The ship was using its
side thrusters to keep the ship tight to the dock, something we have not seen
before.
In town, we just walked around and window shopped, walked up
to the famous windmills and took pictures.
It was too wet and blustery last time here to do much of this with any
degree of comfort.
The performance in the theater tonight was a musical salute
to Freddie Mercury and Queen, by Steve Larkins.
The audience was really into it, and most of the audience is older than
us. Freddie is from New Zealand and
there are lots of Kiwis and Aussies onboard.
There were people standing along the walls and in the stairwells. The man could really sing.
Tomorrow will be our second visit to Kusadasi.
