On our way!

We left Seattle early yesterday morning and had two great flights down, first to Atlanta and then on to Ft Lauderdale. On the first flight, we were pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded to seats in an emergency aisle with extra leg room. Very nice on a long flight. On the second flight, the plane was almost full, but we had all three seats for just the two of us. Lateral room on this flight! How often does that happen?
When we left home, the power was still out. We had a great windstorm the night before and had lost cable and power at dinnertime. We started up the generator to power the house and finished cooking with the microwave. The generator doesn’t have enough power for the 220 items like the stove. At 9:30 the power came back on, and then it went out again around midnight and was still out in the morning.
The hotel serves a breakfast for the guests, a nice touch, but not quite like the spread that the cruise ship will spoil us with starting this afternoon. John did eat a whole boneless* chicken for breakfast!
We’ll post as often as internet on the ship allows.
* A whole boneless chicken = a hard-boiled egg.
