September 12th update from home

 Hi all,

On Saturday we saw whales!!!!  A pod of orca, killer whales, was breaking the surface and blowing plumes.  Orcas apparently don’t breach like humpback whales do.  So, we did not get any aerial photos.  We did get a couple of videos, but the whales though far off are identifiable.  We will try to post a video, but it may not be posted until we are home with better internet.

Saturday was our final full day on this cruise.  At 5pm, we arrived in Victoria, B.C. for a few hours.  The captain backed the ship into the inner harbor from outside the breakwaters.  We walked into town, to the inner harbor and took a cab back.  We planned to take a pedicab, but they wanted $40 and the cab was $8.80.  We took the cab.

We arrived in Seattle on time, Sunday morning and had a last breakfast with our great dining crew.  It was a great cruise, but it is nice to be back home.
