03.05.2020 at sea update

Hello all,

There has been lots of air traffic this morning.  Thee was a grey painted plane circline the ship.  We think it was Coast Guard.  There have been three flights of two helicopters so far.  One was to drop off test kits for the people to be tested.  Those that were on the last cruise on this ship and those passengers and crew that have had flu like symptoms.  Some have been confined to their cabins.  Some testing is taking place now we think.  We have to wait until all test results are in before we learn what the next step might be. 

We are seeing more and more precautionary steps by ship crew.  Disinfecting hand rails, wearing gloves and some masks.  We are spending most of our time in our cabin.  We are just fine ourselves and are happy that we have a large cabin with a balcony.

Princess has given all passengers free internet usage.  They have tried to add bandwidth but the internet is considerably slower than it was earlier.

We are going to go to the steakhouse tonight.  They know our situation and will seat us away from other passengers.
