5.24.2019 update from Pisa
We had a great tour today from the port of Livorno, Italy.
It is the port for Florence as well, but we went to Pisa. John had a hankering to see if he could climb
the 297 steps to the top of the leaning tower.
Well, it turned out to a whole to easier than he thought and stressed
over. Ten minutes to get up. We had heard that 30 minutes was a good
target. Totally hyped! Then we had a nice walk around the
grounds. We were not able to get into
the Cathedral, nor the Baptistry. The
tickets for those were past the time our bus was to return to the port. It was a nice last day of this cruise.
Tomorrow we will dock in Civitavecchia, which
is the port for Rome. We will go
directly to the airport and fly to London for six nights.
