05.16.2019 update from Malaga, Spain
The last of three ports in three days, Malaga, Spain. Another centuries old city with some Roman ruins
that were recently found and excavated.
We took a tour described as ‘easy’ and as such it was full of walkers
and scooters. And old folks. With her walker, Colleen is as fast as
anybody and some others had troubles. In
fact, the guide offered to have the driver take anyone that wanted back to the
ship about halfway through the tour.
Many accepted. The rest stayed on
and saw the ruins, Picasso’s birthplace, the central market and the Cathedral. Cathedrals keep showing up in our blog because
they often dominate the skyline and are a great source of pride to the city. There was a also a fine museum of old cars,
cars not often seen in the states.
The new pier here in Malaga has many shops and free
WiFi. We just finished our lunch, so
will go out, do some shopping and post this.
