Hello all,

This will be our last posting until we get home.  We are at sea, having been in our last port, Cozumel, yesterday.  In Cozumel, we walked to town in the extreme heat.  Well, really, we walked most of the way to town, maybe 3-4 miles and then took a cab the last couple of miles.

Once in town, we did a little shopping and then stopped for a cold beer.  Co has about one beer per year, and this day deserved it.  The attached picture shows us, fuzzily, in the swings at the bar.  After a short time shopping, we decided to take an alternate mode of transportation back to the ship.  See the photo.  It was taken by the buggy driver.  In the photo, you will see a young fellow and a scooter.  He took a picture of us as well, but we didn’t think much of it.  When we arrived at the pier about 20 minutes later, he was there with a color and framed 5x7 photo that he wanted to sell us.  Very ingenious and enterprising.

We had a great time on this trip, short as it was.  The two couple that we dined with every night were delightful.  We were very happy with the table servers, Alvin and Rodel and our room steward, Arvin.  The head waiter, Frederick, did a great job of guiding John toward low sodium meals.  Some things he just wouldn’t allow, saying that they couldn’t take the salt out.

One of the main reasons we chose this cruise and time was that Princess was having their four top acts of 2012 on the ship for a contest to determine the Entertainer of the Year for 2012.  We saw them all, some twice and enjoyed them all.  There was a comedian named Sarge, a mentalist Wayne Hoffman, a singer/dancer/comedian named Tony Tillman and a comedy duo, Alfred and Seymour.  The mentalist did some amazing things, unexplainable things.  Mind reading from people high up in the theater.  Tony Tillman did some great routines, singing and dancing to all types of music.  Very funny guy.  Our choice, our favorites were the comedy duo, two young guys from intercity Los Angeles who put on a very high energy show with some great humor.  They were just a bit young for the ship’s audience.  Tony Tillman, our second choice, was the winner.

Tonight we went to the Princess Pop Choir Concert, just 15 minutes in the atrium, then a Flash Mob in the same location.  Lots of fun we had.

Looking forward to being home tomorrow.

Colleen and John
