Costa Maya

3/3/2011

Wednesday was an ‘at sea’ day. There is so much to do on this ship that it is hard to relate it. Last night after dinner, we saw two shows, OceanAria and another version of Beatlemania Live. OceanAria was in the outside Aqua Theater at the rear of the ship. Lots of divers, gymnasts, trampolinists and high divers. High divers from 40 plus feet high. It was an amazing show, very slick and well done.

We saw a version of Beatlemania Live on the Emerald Princess last week, a different show, different songs and different musicians. Both were well done, this one was the better. They did many songs from different areas with several costume changes, including the Sergeant Pepper uniforms.

Besides the shows, we watched people in the Flow Riders pools, where, in a small area, one can boogie board or surf or take lessons to do those things. We watched people on the Zip Line, which is quite short, but it’s a long way down.

We originally had a ship’s excursion planned for Thursday in Costa Maya, to a Mayan pyramid. We found out that visitors are kept several hundred feet from the pyramid and John had been looking forward to climbing it. So we canceled and just went into the town area at the end of the cruise dock.

After dinner we went to the Comedy Club and saw two terrific comics. Off color language, but hilarious.

Tomorrow we will be in Cozumel and we will be on an excursion in the morning.
