3/10/2017 update
After Cabo on Thursday, we were at sea until docking in LA
Saturday morning. On Friday they
announced the winner of the Princess Cruises Entertainer of the Year
contest. Robby Printz the comedian won,
deservedly so. He was funny, just
talking about everyday occurrences. We
each voted for a different contestant but could see why so many voted for
Robby.
On Friday evening we went to the 'Most
traveled passenger' cocktail party. We
were paired with two senior officers, The Food and Beverage Director and the Finance
Director. They are lovely ladies and we
had a great conversation with them. The
ship and the officers will be in Seattle this year for the Alaska cruises. They said that they will be inviting us to
come to the ship for lunch some day.
Saturday we got off the ship with no problems and took Uber
to the airport. The plane was packed and
John had a cougher sitting next to him.
He put on an additional mask and it seemed to work, as he is still
healthy.
It's nice to be home.
Laundry, opening the mail, working in the garden is what Sunday was all
about. Monday we were back on a regular
schedule. No cruises planned until
October when we will fly to Fort Lauderdale and board the Caribbean Princess
for a trip into the new Panama Canal. We
have been in the Canal twice, but the new one opens for cruise ships in
October. We might be on the first one
in.
It's nice to be back home working in the garden and around
the house. Warmer weather should be
soon, and it can't come soon enough for us.
